The data controller for data collected through unik-systems.com is UNIK Systems d.o.o., based in Slovenia. Full address and contact details for personal data requests are available via the button below.
The controller has not appointed a Data Protection Officer (DPO). This information concerns browsing the site and requests for information, quotes, and assistance directed to UNIK. The site link Assistance opens the Contact page. External sites and requests sent directly to the contacts of other companies are subject to their respective notices.
Contact requests. The form collects first name, last name, email, and message content. The data sent via the form or email are used to understand the request and respond regarding products, quotes, and assistance. For pre-contractual measures requested by the data subject or the execution of a contract with them, the legal basis is Article 6, Paragraph 1, Letter b), GDPR. For other requests, including those sent on behalf of a company, the basis is UNIK's legitimate interest to manage correspondence and provide feedback, pursuant to Article 6, Paragraph 1, Letter f), GDPR.
Requests are read by people. They are not used for newsletters, promotional communications, automated scoring, or customer classifications. No decisions are made solely based on automated processing in managing the described requests.
Browsing and security. The server logs technical data, such as IP address, date and time, requested resource, outcome of the request, and browser information. They are used for the operation of the site, error diagnosis, and security, based on the legitimate interest in continuity and protection of the service, pursuant to Article 6, Paragraph 1, Letter f), GDPR.
Language and preferences. The site stores the browsing language and privacy manager choices. Names, purposes, and durations of these tools are described in the Cookie policy, accessible from the Cookie preferences panel.
Submitting a request is voluntary. A name and valid contact allow for a response; without the necessary data, the request may not be processed. Only include relevant information in the message and avoid particularly sensitive data that is not necessary.
From 29 October 2026, form notifications are configured to be sent only to UNIK's business email. The form uses WPForms Lite: in the verified configuration, it does not retain requests in its local list and remote backup of entries is not active.
The presence of WPForms and Polylang as installed components does not, by itself, trigger the submission of requests to their producers. Data may also be communicated to authorities in cases required by law.
The IONOS server and verified Plesk and UpdraftPlus backups are located in Germany. For standard email service, the public documentation Register indicates servers in Settimo Milanese and backup in another data center in Milan. Relations with Register are managed directly by the client.
The cdnjs service uses Cloudflare's global network and may entail processing outside the European Economic Area. Cloudflare states it uses the Data Privacy Framework for transfers to the United States and standard contractual clauses for other transfers, according to the conditions outlined in its privacy policy. For information on guarantees applicable to data processed via the site, you can contact UNIK.
Google uses servers in multiple countries. For international transfers, it states that it relies on adequacy decisions, the EU-US Data Privacy Framework for certified entities, and, where necessary, standard contractual clauses: guarantees on Google transfers. In the current configuration, Cloudflare and Google Fonts presentation resources are requested directly by the theme before the choice in the banner; refusal in the manager does not stop these connections.
Requests that do not become orders are deleted within 12 months from the last response. This rule applies to messages and any copies; the privacy plugin does not perform automatic deletion. The current configuration concerns new submissions and does not delete any copies sent before 29 October 2026 to previously configured addresses.
Domain logs are rotated to a size of 10,240 KB, with a maximum configured of 10 archived and compressed files. Plesk backups are incremental daily, with full copies weekly and a configured limit of 4 full copies. UpdraftPlus provides for daily backups and a scheduled copy for each type, file, and database. Logs are included in Plesk backups. These criteria do not equate to a uniform duration in days, and the limit of scheduled copies does not describe any further copies created manually.
When a request leads to an order or contractual relationship, the retention of related documentation depends on contractual purposes, applicable legal obligations, and any needs to protect rights: the term of 12 months does not automatically extend to these documents.
Under the conditions set by GDPR, you can request access, rectification, deletion, limitation, and portability of data. You can object to processing based on legitimate interest for reasons related to your particular situation. If processing is based on consent, you can revoke it without affecting the lawfulness of the previous processing. To exercise rights, use the contact details of the data controller available above.
You can lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, particularly in your country of habitual residence, your place of work, or the alleged violation. The Slovenian authority is theInformacijski pooblaščenec.
This information is updated when the described processing changes. The date at the top of the page identifies the version consulted.
