This page describes cookies and similar tools used on unik-systems.com. The data controller is UNIK Systems d.o.o., based in Slovenia. You can view contact details and contact the data controller via the button below. For other processing, refer to the Privacy policy.

What are cookies

Cookies are small data stored in the browser, for a session or for a defined period. The local memory of the browser can also store information. The presence of a link or external resource does not alone imply the installation of cookies.

Technical tools used

pll_language (Polylang): remembers the language of the last visited page. First-party cookie, domain unik-systems.com, path /, duration of one year. In the private browsing check of 29 October 2026, it was detected on the home page in Italian and the Contact page before any choice in the manager. It is a functional cookie for multilingual navigation; it is not used by the site for advertising or profiling.
mpai_consent (Metric Privacy AI): retains choice on preferences, applicable review, date, expiration, and any permitted services. It is a first-party cookie, limited to this host, path /, with Secure attributes on HTTPS and SameSite=Lax. The duration is six calendar months from the choice; when the corresponding day does not exist in the expiration month, the date shifts to the following month. It is not automatically renewed upon each visit. It does not contain a unique visitor identifier and the plugin does not send choices to a remote registry.
mpai_consent_signal: browser's local memory element containing only the moment of the last modification, used to synchronize preferences between tabs of the same site. It is not sent to the server and is not an identifier. It has no automatic expiration: it is overwritten on the next modification and can remain until the site data is deleted.
wpEmojiSettingsSupports: WordPress session memory element that stores the result of the emoji support check in the browser and the timing of the check. It is for correct character display; it remains in the session of the tab and is not used for profiling.

These tools have technical purposes and are not deactivated by rejecting optional services. The browser may limit or delete them; in that case, the site may forget the language or re-present preferences.

Optional services and external resources

As of the update date, no optional services are configured in the Metric Privacy AI manager. In the check of the Italian home page and Contact page in private browsing, before a choice, only the language cookie was detected. The check concerns the stated pages and conditions; the inventory must be updated if services are added or the configuration is modified.

The site loads the Normalize style sheet from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, distributed by Cloudflare to standardize display across browsers. The connection involves transmitting the IP address and technical metadata to the supplier. This is a page presentation resource, not an advertising service configured in the manager. For processing of connection data and possible international transfers, refer to the Privacy policy and theCloudflare notice.

The theme also loads the font Dosis from Google Fonts, via fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com. The connection communicates to the supplier IP address and technical metadata. Google states it does not use this service data for profiling or advertising. Google Fonts and cdnjs are loaded by the theme even before the choice in the banner and are not blocked by the manager; for recipients and transfers refer to the Privacy policy.

The Contact form uses WPForms Lite and sends requests to UNIK. It is not connected to newsletters and does not use reCAPTCHA, hCaptcha, or Turnstile in the verified configuration. The mere presence of WPForms or Polylang does not imply that the content of messages is sent to their respective producers.

How to manage preferences

You can use the banner commands to refuse optional services, accept them, or choose and save preferences. As long as no optional services are configured, these commands only maintain the technical tools described above. You can reopen the panel at any time from the permanent button "Cookie preferences" or from the following command.

The first closing of the banner stores the refusal of optional services; closing it after a choice already saved keeps the previous choice. If the browser prevents saving, the manager reports the error. Revocation concerns the services managed by the plugin and may require reloading the page; it does not necessarily delete data already received from third parties nor all cookies from other domains. You can also manage or delete site data through your browser settings.
